Paros has a new airport and is well served by Olympic Air Dash 8-400 aircraft. Blue Star ferries are very large and smooth sailing. The 4 hour sailing time compares favourably with the overall time it would take to travel to the airport, check in, and wait for your flight. It's easy to get to the Piraeus ferry docks from central Athens, and no check-in procedures other than buying a ticket and handing it to the crew member as you board.
